Butterlfy, who due to her marriage with a foreigner is repudiated by her family sees no way out of her misery; she commits hara-kiri. The play is located in a modern-day Japanese house which structure will reveal more and more during the play. By removing translucent screens -a quote on traditional Japanese Shoi- the house turns naked. A metaphor for Butterflies’ obliteration.
